Charlton Family Support
i) Out - of - Home Respite Care:
Charlton House provides occasional out-of-home- respite care for individuals under the age of 21 years. Charlton House is open every weekend, as well as full time during the Christmas, March and Summer school breaks.
ii) Adolescent Groups:
Individuals between the ages of 15 and 21 years of age are eligible to participate in small group sessions offered from October to January and February to May each year.
Residences
Residential staff assist men and women who have an intellectual disability to find suitable accommodations within their community. Using an individualized planning approach, predicated on a persons expressed wishes, abilities and choice, the staff assist the individual and their family in identifying a living situation which best meets their needs. Options may include; group living, an apartment on one's own or shared with a friend, second level lodging home, residing within a family home or other community options.
Day Programs
Provide adults with intellectual disabilities personal and social growth through employment, skills training, and leisure activities. For further information, please see list of Day Programs located at: About CLH.
